Master of Science in Management for Global and Sustainable Business

The scientific Master is an Albanian law program developed in partnership with ALTIS Graduate School Business & Society) of Catholic University “Sacro Cuore” in Milan. MGSB Master aligns with current global economic trends.

In instance, the European Union has had a development strategy for sustainability for several years, and the European Council has confirmed that sustainable development is one of the EU's primary goals.

Thus, Albania and the other Balkan nations must encourage sustainable investments and, as a result, the development of human capital that is sufficient for this goal if they are to fully integrate into the global economy and with the EU.

The MGSB master’s program aims to prepare professionals for leadership roles in businesses that operate on a national and international scale, to guide technological innovation processes in particular in relation to the new requirements imposed by recent developments on sustainability on a global scale, and to comprehend the financial opportunities and profitability of businesses engaged in the sustainable and circular economy.

Course Structure

The master’s degree in "Management for Global and Sustainable Business" is two academic years (120 ECTS). Courses consist of lectures, seminars, project work, internships, and more.
All classes are conducted in English. A core pillar of the MGSB Master is its emphasis on several fundamental aspects of global economics and global management.

(i) the economics of sustainability;
(ii) the economy and governance of innovation;
(iii) Sustainable Financing.
(iv) data-driven decision-making process

The faculty of this course is made up mainly of professors from the Catholic University of “Sacro Cuore” with international qualifications and experience. 

Who is Graduate School Business & Society (ALTIS)?

Graduate School Business & Society (ALTIS) of Catholic University "Sacro Cuore" is a postgraduate business school that has concentrated its teaching and scientific activity in the fields of sustainable finance, corporate social responsibility (CSR), social innovation, and sustainable economy since 2002.

In fact, ALTIS seeks to advance the diffusion of a culture of responsible management, of the balancing of competition and corporate social responsibility, of good governance, and of stable internationalization through research, training, and strategic consulting to public and private companies. In addition to operating on the Italian territory with various Masters in the Milan and Rome offices, ALTIS collaborates as an educational partner with foreign universities. The partnership between ALTIS and UKZKM in the creation of the Master in MGSB ensures a high standard of instruction, as well as a significant contribution in terms of reputation and recognition that will be used in interactions with possible business partners. In particular, ALTIS makes a contribution to the development of the course materials thanks to the experience it has gained since 2002.

The master’s program aims to prepare professionals for leadership roles in national and international businesses, to steer the technological innovation process in particular in light of the new requirements imposed by recent advancements in sustainability on a global scale, and to

comprehend the financial opportunities and profitability of businesses engaged in the sustainable and circular economy. Graduates will also be eligible for admission to a PhD program. Since sustainability managers are a new concept and are continually evolving in Europe, graduates can work in public and private institutions in Albania and abroad. In fact, in Albania, there is currently a shortage of professional growth and training for this role.
