4. The equipped foreigner with a residence permit as a student after the first year of studies outside of his / her study time on the basis of the relevant work permit has the right to be employed and may be granted the right to practice self-employment activity, respecting the maximum limit of 20 hours per week, or the equivalents with days or months per year. The citizens of the European Union and the Schengen area are exempt from the obligation of the work permit.


5. During the study period, a residence permit for a student cannot be replaced by a residence permit for employment motives. Upon completion of studies, the foreigner, if provided with a work permit, while EU citizens if registered in an employment office on the basis of a work contract, may renew the residence permit for employment purposes. The study time is calculated as half of it.
