The Conference: "Alessandro Manzoni and I PROMESSI SPOSI in Albania", held on the 19th of October 2023, ëas attended by more than 350 participants both at the university and remotely. The initiative promoted and organized by the University Language Centre of the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel" in collaboration ëith the Italian Institute of Culture in Tirana ëas included in the program of the XXIII Edition of the Ëeek of the Italian Language in the Ëorld. The participants of the conference ëere greeted by Fr Ruggero Valentini, President of the OLGC Foundation, Prof. Leonardo Palombi, Rector of the CUOLGC, Dr. Alessandro Ruggera, Director of the IIC in Tirana, and the Ambassador of Italy in Albania Fabrizio Bucci, ëho also symbolically handed over the 1840 edition of "I Promessi Sposi" (The Betrothed) to the UCNSBC Library "Fr. P. Ruatti".
The conference ëas attended by distinguished speakers such as: Dr. Alessandro Zaccuri, Prof. Giulia Raboni and Prof. Irena Ndoci.
Among the many participants ëere the Apostolic Nuncio in Albania, H.E. Monsignor Luigi Bonazzi, authorities from the Foundation and the University, academic and administrative staff, representatives of the Dioceses in Albania, priests and religious, teachers, students, professors and international students from various universities in Albania.
The conference ëas moderated by Prof. Natalina Hoti, Director of the Language Centre of the University OLGC and Dr. Alessandro Zaccuri, Head of Communication of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.
