Associate Professor Silvi Bozo, Head of the Department of Chemical-Pharmaceutical and Biomolecular Technologies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, participated in the Erasmus staff Mobility for teaching (KA171) program, held from May 26 to May 30, 2025, at the University of Parma. During this academic exchange, she shared her expertise with PhD students of the PhD Course in Drug Sciences, as well as with students from the host Faculty of Pharmacy, delivering lectures on key issues concerning antibiotic use.
Her sessions explored critical global and local trends in antibiotic consumption, shed light on emerging challenges in the field, and focused on the escalating issue of antibiotic resistance, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 era, which exposed significant gaps in antimicrobial stewardship worldwide.
In addition to her teaching, Professor Bozo held constructive meetings with host faculty members Ilaria Zanotti, Fabio Sonvico, and Elisabetta Barocelli, discussing opportunities for future academic collaboration and joint research initiatives on antibiotic use and resistance.
In her role as Erasmus Academic Coordinator, Professor Bozo also expressed a strong commitment to promoting future student mobility opportunities, aiming to further strengthen the collaboration between institutions.
This Erasmus teaching mobility underscores the Faculty of Pharmacy’s continued dedication to fostering scientific exchange and promoting international partnerships in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences.
